community events
We created this Calendar as a Community Resource — so you can stay up-to-date and get involved in all things happening in our Ventura Community
Our mission is to be an active part of this vibrant, Ventura community — that begins with supporting local businesses and organizations, and helping get the word out about the things that matter most to you.
If there is a local event that we missed, please get in touch so we can add it here!

Ojai Community Farmers Market
The Ojai Community Farmers Market’s mission is to provide access to healthy food, cultivate community and promote education.
We recognize there are significant barriers to access HEALTHY FOODS for many people in the Ojai Valley.
Our market accepts SNAP, WIC, and SFMNP. We also participate in Market Match which doubles the value of nutritional assistance up to twenty dollars ($20.00) spent at the market.
We are all about COMMUNITY.
We have created a farmer to consumer shopping experience, all while listening to local musicians and enjoying family, friends and the freedom of barefoot kids playing on the grass.
We’re partnering with schools and other local organizations to promote healthy lifestyles and deeper community connections.
We are providing an EDUCATIONAL experience for those who want to learn about our local food system.
Our market gives the chance to talk directly with the farmers, growers, bakers, artisans, and other vendors.
We host educational workshops for both children and adults. Visit our Workshop page.
We support our local farmers and vendors in various ways because we recognize the challenges they face in growing their businesses.
We offer financial and in-kind assistance to farmers interested in getting an organic certification, applying for grants, going to conferences and developing new value-added products.
We help food artisans with applications, permitting, equipment acquisition and product development using local, responsibly farmed ingredients.
We help makers source materials to minimize their environmental impact.
Our vendors can access free legal advice from one of our founding members.
The market is a 501c3 non-profit certified farmers market run by a board of local community members.
